Dr. Matthew Hughes Retires
Chipola wants to wish Dr. Matthew Hughes all the best on his upcoming retirement. Dr. Hughes came to Chipola in 2014 and served as the Dean of Assessment, Compliance & Grants. When asked about Dr. Hughes & his retirement, his supervisor Dr. Pam Rentz had this to say “Dr. Hughes has been a valuable administrator at Chipola College, and his expertise will be missed. He has been instrumental in maintaining the college’s accreditation through SACSCOC and nursing accreditation through ACEN. Serving as a mentor to many on campus and a professional colleague to all, Dr. Hughes leaves a legacy of positivity, respect, and integrity.”
Chipola’s staff gathered on December 5 to help celebrate his retirement with Dr. Hughes, his wife and family. Dr. Hughes shared memories, gratitude and a few dad jokes. We wish you all the best in your well deserved retirement!
