After these events, the renowned Banquet and Auction will make its return on Saturday evening, at 5:30 p.m., at Bar R Ranch. The dinner is open to the public and costs $50 per ticket, which includes dinner and drinks.  The Leadoff Dinner will include team recognitions ('74, '84, '94 teams), introduction of the current Chipola team, words from alumni, a guest speaker, and an auction of great sports items and experiences.

"We're excited to bring this event back better than ever, not only for our alumni, but also for the people of our community," said Jeff Johnson, Chipola's Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach. "It's a great way to kick off our baseball season and allows Chipola players, young and old, to connect with each other and the members of Chipola Nation."

"In addition to the social aspects of our banquet, it also helps us raise funds to help keep the program at an elite level," said Johnson. "We have a great network of supporters and we look forward to continuing those relationships as we keep Chipola baseball amongst one of the best in the country."

Chipola baseball continues to be a nationally known powerhouse, winning three National Championships, and producing 29 big leaguers, including four MLB All-Stars. In addition, many baseball alumni have gone on to have successful careers off the field in various industries.
