Take Stock In Children

Take Stock in Children was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization in Florida that provides a unique opportunity for deserving low-income youth/students. The Chipola Region TSIC program serves students in Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, and Washington counties. The program offers two-year scholarships to any state university, college, or postsecondary vocational school/technical college. The program also provides caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life. Our Services continue through high school and help graduating students transition onto postsecondary education.

Our program is based on the principle that given extensive support, motivation, and accountability, children will work hard to ensure they graduate from high school and earn a college degree or other postsecondary credential. Our goal is to reduce the number of high school dropouts and to increase the number of students who complete postsecondary education and successfully enter the workforce.
