TRiO Celebration

 Chipola’s Student Support Services (SSS) students participated in a TRIO Evening of Service at the Milton H. Johnson Center on Wednesday, February 2, 2022  to express appreciation to Chipola and the community for their support of the TRIO programs as well as celebrate the establishment of Federal TRiO programs.

This event commemorates the annual achievements of the Federal TRIO programs in communities across the country and raises the awareness about the importance of educational opportunity for ALL students across the United States.

Student Support Services Director, Kristie Mosley stated that “Chipola’s TRIO program is making a difference for students.  The program provides valuable supportive services to students to successfully enter college and graduate for over 50 years.” Today more than 1,000 colleges, universities, and community agencies host more than 2,800 TRIO projects that serve approximately 820,000 young people and adults.
