Tech Garage and Chasin’ The Sun Team Up for Crossover Show

Chipola College’s master certified automotive instructors John Gardner and Josh Ellis will combine the Tech Garage television show on Discovery’s Motor Trend network with Chasin the Sun on Discovery for an epic television crossover event.

Justin Leake from hit show Chasin the Sun based out of Panama City Beach, Florida, airs Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. ET. Leake will join the Tech Garage crew for some severe duty service on a fishing tow vehicle. Then Tech Garage host John Gardner will join Justin Leake for some Panama City fishing adventures.

Darwin Gilmore, Chipola’s Dean of Workforce Education, says, “This crossover event will bring awareness of the Panama City beaches and Chipola and Jackson County increasing Economic Development opportunities.

Chipola College is a partner in Florida's Great Northwest and other regional organizations working together to attract companies to the area. When a tier-1 type manufacturer comes, we all prosper.

Tech Garage host John Gardner says, “We’ve learned that education/business and industry partnerships work. Using this television show as a platform is just another tool in our arsenal, plus it's just cool to be able to have a fishing show with a superstar like Justin Leake showcased on Tech Garage.”

This one-of-a-kind crossover event with cars and fishing airs Saturday, Jan. 29, at 8 a.m. ET on MotorTrend TV and a to-be-named channel on Discovery.
