Student Spotlight

Meet Carleigh Shuff-Mayo. Carleigh is an Advanced Welding Student here at Chipola College- where she excels! Carleigh has 900 hrs. in the Welding Program, has learned four processes of welding and has four certifications, including the difficult Journeyman Pipe Welding Certification SMAW 6G.

Carleigh, of Calhoun County, tells us she chose the Welding Program because it’s hands-on and offers her a career that is needed in our economy.  Carleigh credits her passion & perseverance for all of her success.
