SSS Orientation 2023

Recently, Chipola Student Support Services (SSS) held a two-day orientation session in the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE). SSS students were encouraged to attend only ONE session to learn about SSS program and resources available. Student Support Services provides academic advising, campus tours/cultural activities, career counseling, financial aid and scholarship preparation. The Chipola ACE Lab, in collaboration with SSS, provides free tutoring sessions for all students, including test prep and remediation services.

The large student attendance helped make each session, an unforgettable and memorable experience. We are confident that the level of enthusiasm, incredible student attendance/engagement, and the connections made will carry forward throughout the year!  Student Support Services (SSS) Director Kristie Mosley stated, “SSS prepares students to succeed academically, as well as increases retention, graduation and transfer rates of students in the program.”

In addition to the orientation sessions, the upcoming fall campus tours/football games for the 2023-2024 year are as follows:  Florida A & M University, Florida State University, Troy University, University of Florida, University of Central Florida and the University of South Florida.  All services provided are free to students enrolled in the SSS program.  To learn more about SSS or become a member, complete on online SSS application or contact Mary Ward at (850) 718-2431.
