Softball All Conference Players
Eight Chipola softball players were named to the Panhandle All-Conference Team. Pictured from left, are: Amari Brown, Kayla Franklin, Diana Arcay, Hannah Worthington, Akyndra Montalvo, Anyela Ruize, Addison Carter and Gracie Suggs.
Panhandle All-Conference First Team:
Amari Brown is a sophomore infielder/pitcher from Marianna who batted .368 while starting in all 50 games for the Lady Indians this season. She led the team in home runs (9), hits (60), and RBI (43).
Kayla Franklin is a freshman shortstop who batted .366. She led the team with 31 stolen bases and was not caught stealing all season.
Diana Arcay is a freshman outfielder who led the team with a .375 batting average and 16 doubles. She also had 3 home runs with 35 RBI while only striking out 8 times.
Panhandle All-Conference Second Team:
Hannah Worthington is a freshman pitcher tied for first on the team with wins in the circle and carried a 3.48 ERA. She had 68 strikeouts and only walked 28 in 94.2 IP.
Akyndra Montalvo is a sophomore outfielder batted .344 and finished the season with 2 home runs and 22 RBI.
Anyela Ruiz is a freshman pitcher tied for first on the team with wins in the circle and carried a 3.38 ERA. She had 77 strikeouts in 85.0 IP.
Addison Carter is a freshman catcher who threw out 21% of the runners attempting to steal and carried a 1.000 fielding %. She batted .196 on the season.
Gracie Suggs is a sophomore catcher who batted .259 with a home run and 10 RBI.
