Open Auditions for Chipola's 'Charlotte’s Web’
Updated: April 7, 2022
Chipola Theatre will hold open auditions for the children’s musical Charlotte’s Web on Monday, April 11, from 6-9 p.m., in the Chipola Center for the Arts. Children ages 8 and up are encouraged to audition for this production.
In this beloved children’s musical, an affectionate, sometimes bashful, pig named Wilbur befriends a spider named Charlotte, who lives in the rafters above his pen. A prancing, playful bloke, Wilbur is devastated when he learns of the destiny that befalls all those of porcine persuasion. Determined to save her friend, Charlotte spins a web that reads “Some Pig,” convincing the farmer and surrounding community that Wilbur is no ordinary animal and should be saved. In this story of friendship, hardship, and the passing on into time, E. B. White reminds us to open our eyes to the wonder and miracle often found in the simplest of things.
The play runs Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13. Evening performances are May 12 and 13. Tickets may be purchased online at www.chipola.edu/boxoffice or at the CFA Box Office beginning April 25. ACT Fund members will have early access to tickets beginning April 18.
