Gulf Coast Demonstration for Chipola Workforce 2024

Gulf Coast Electric visited Chipola's Work Force programs on November 13, 2024 with their Demo Trailer where they presented to all five of Chipola's Construction Classes.

A lot of the demonstration focused on SAFETY matters- like digging around buried lines and fallen lines after storms but the team also shared more about high voltage and 240 V, how electricity is delivered to a residential home and more.

Chipola added 3 New Programs this past Fall Semester- Plumbing, Electricity & HVAC to join the previous construction classes, Welding & Construction Technology.

Chipola College was one of the nine designated sites in Florida to receive the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery across the state after Hurricanes Irma and Michael. The WRTP grant will be in place through August 2025.

We are now registering for Spring 2025 (Classes start January 6) and we have scholarships available in Construction Technology and Plumbing.  This means we have funds available to cover tuition & fees!
