Chipola's "The Secret Garden" Cast is Announced
Chipola College Theatre Director Raines Carr recently selected the cast for the children’s production “The Secret Garden,” which will be presented May 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Theatre.
The cast includes: Caroline Sims (Station Master, Robin), Hannah Harris (Neville Craven), Chandler King (Archibald Craven), Caroline King (Mrs. Medlock), Emma Rines (Ben Weatherstaff), Victoria Kanes (Martha), Alysa Shaw (Mary Lennox), Eli Fanchette (Colin Craven), Cale Thompson (Dickon) and a chorus of animals: Julia Lenz, Natalie Edison, Emma Kimbrel, Riley Bein, Carliya Hazelton, Adriana Anania, and Bailey Flowers.
After Mary Lennox is orphaned, she becomes the ward of an uncle in England she has never met. As she adjusts to her new life at secluded Misselthwaite Manor, Mary discovers a secret garden. If she can uncover the mysterious circumstances behind the garden, she might be able to save her sickly young cousin and melt the heart of her emotionally distant uncle. A touching coming-of-age story, based on the classic novel.
This production has been adapted for young audiences and will be approximately 45 minutes in length.
