Chipola's Mary Poppins Wins Multiple Awards

The Chipola College Theatre production of ‘Disney’s Mary Poppins’ received a Superior rating and the Community Service Award from the Florida College System Activities Association. 

The respondent who evaluated the show praised, “It felt like an entire small town got together to put on a beloved show, so everyone had enthusiasm and dedication. The love for the project shown through. It felt like watching a happy family working together to make their community a better place through art. What a lovely oasis of culture. Marianna is very lucky to have this place and these people.”

Four students were awarded special recognition pins for their performance: Aly Matthews (Ms. Andrews and Katie Nanna); Katilyn Powley (Fly Crew and Assistant Stage Manager); Lillian Anderson (Light Board Operator and Assistant Stage Manager); and Gabriella Fanchette (Props Master).

The production also received a Community Service Award for “the excellent use and contribution of community performers.”
