CHIPOLA’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL WINS EXCELLENCE AWARD
The Chipola College Theatre production of ‘A Christmas Carol: The Musical’ received an Excellent rating from the Florida College System Activities Association.
The respondent who evaluated the show praised, “The directors did a wonderful job directing the show. They had to work with a huge cast of children, community volunteers, college employees and students. They did an amazing job of uniting everyone to work together as a team to complete a complicated task. The audience the night I saw the show had a great time and leapt to their feet to award the cast with a standing ovation as soon as the curtain call started. I love coming to see plays at Chipola College, it is the best space with the best people.”
Two students were awarded special recognition pins for their performance: Alijah Dorsla (Ghost of Christmas Present) and Maison Dickson (Mrs. Fezziwig). Two members of the technical team were also awarded special recognition for flying: Levi Schreffler and Creed Chance.
Chipola Theatre’s next production is “Little Women,” slated for February 21-22 at 7 p.m. and February 23 at 2 p.m. in the Center for the Arts, Theatre. Tickets are go on sale January 21 at www.chipola.edu/boxoffice or at the Center for the Arts Box Office. ACT Fund members may redeem their tickets now. Box Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. – noon. The Box Office will be closed December 9 – January 5 for the holidays.
