Chipola Student Spotlight Kaytlin Harris

Kaytlin Harris, a Chipola College Elementary Education major, is this week’s Student Spotlight.

Harris chose to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a teacher. She hopes to provide a safe environment for students in which they feel comfortable sharing their ideas.

Harris has had many wonderful teachers at Chipola. Her favorite class is Early and Emergent Literacy with Casey Dowgul.

When asked what she would say to someone considering enrolling at Chipola, Harris said, “I would encourage that person to do so because there is such a great support system present through the faculty and staff.”  

After Chipola, Harris plans to pursue her master’s degree while also teaching at an elementary school.
