Chipola College Unveils Vibrant New Mural, Celebrating the Future of Students with a Creative Twist

Chipola College commissioned a new, vibrant mural on the side of Chipola’s Cultural Center- a project that embodies the College’s mission of Changing Lives and Creating Futures. The mural, titled "Your tomorrow starts here", was brought to life by Kollet Hardeman who has recently completed many murals in the area.

Key Features of the Mural:

• The mural showcases students in their graduation caps & gowns as they look to the horizon (their futures), with a Chipola education as their foundation.
• The mural is watercolor style blending traditional imagery and Chipola’s signature colors with fun, creative pops of color.
• The mural is located on the side of Chipola’s Cultural Center so it can be seen as you exit Indian Circle or as you approach the campus on College Street.

The artist, Kollet Hardeman, is a Tallahassee native and describes herself as a street artist with over 100 murals in the Southeast.  Some of her recent work can be found throughout downtown Marianna, Chipley, Graceville, Panama City and Port St. Joe.

Dr. Sarah Clemmons, Chipola’s President, and Meri Mock, Chipola’s Public Information Officer, worked with the mural artist on this project to create something beautiful that will be enjoyed for years to come.  "We understand the influence social media has on our students, which is why we wanted to create a space where students, staff, and visitors can engage," says Meri Mock. "Our goal is to connect with students in a way that resonates with them, giving them the opportunity to express their Chipola spirit and showcase our shared excitement for their futures
