Chipola College Celebrates Annual TRIO Celebration

The Annual Chipola TRIO Celebration was recently held at the Milton H. Johnson Center, bringing together students, staff, and community members to celebrate the impactful work of TRIO programs at Chipola College. This year’s event highlighted 15 years of Student Support Services (SSS) and TRIO programs making a difference on Chipola College’s campus and in the lives of students.

TRIO Day is a nationwide celebration that recognizes the achievements of federally funded TRIO programs, which provide academic, financial, and personal support to first-generation. At Chipola, these programs play a vital role in fostering academic success, improving graduation rates, and preparing students for life beyond college.

During the event, students volunteered at the concessions to help raise funds for scholarships, further demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the program that has supported their educational journeys. The proceeds from this effort will go toward providing financial assistance for students pursuing their degrees.
