Chipola Brain Bowl Wins NAQT Tournament

The Chipola Brain Bowl team won the NAQT Florida Community College Sectional Championship Tournament this past weekend (Jan. 24-26, 2025) at Santa Fe College in Gainesville.  The team finished 10-0 in the round robin format. Winning the tournament gives Chipola an automatic bid to the Community College National Championship to be held in Chicago, IL on February 28 through March 1.  Chipola will arrive at the tournament as the defending champions. Chipola has won four national championships and 12 Florida State Championships.

Chipola will host the Panhandle Regional in 2 weeks on February 8^th.  Feel free to come watch and support the team. The tournament will start at 10:00 am in the Literature/Language Building.

Chipola team members this year are:  Devin Tharp, Jeremy Scurlock, Cade Foxworth, and John Maupin.  All four players placed in the top 20 in individual scoring at the tournament. Devin place 3^rd, John Maupin 5^th, Jeremy Scurlock 7^th, and Cade Foxworth 17^th.
