Chipola's Honors Program recently welcomed another guest speaker- Chipola Alumnus Dr. Laura Davis!

Dr. Laura Davis, a dedicated physician with a general practice at Blountstown TMH-Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, has established herself as a committed healthcare professional and community leader. Her journey in the field of medicine began at Chipola College, where she was an active member of the Honors Program.

Dr. Davis was instrumental in founding the Pre-Med Society at Chipola, a student organization that fostered a community of aspiring medical professionals and provided invaluable support for those pursuing careers in healthcare.

In addition to her leadership role in the Pre-Med Society, Dr. Davis served as an ACE tutor in the college’s ACE lab, where she provided tutoring support across various subjects. Her dedication to helping others succeed and her expertise in multiple areas made her a valuable resource to her peers.

After completing her studies at Chipola, Dr. Davis earned her medical degree from Florida State University, where she continued to exemplify a commitment to excellence in both her academics and clinical work.

Currently, Dr. Davis practices at Blountstown TMH, where she provides comprehensive care to her patients, combining her skills and compassion to make a difference in their lives. Her strong ties to the community and her passion for mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals continue to shine.

Dr. Davis recently took the time from her busy schedule to speak at Chipola College's Honors Program as part of Chipola Honors Guest Series. Her lecture, filled with insights from her experiences in medical school and her professional career, was an invaluable opportunity for students to learn from someone who has truly paved the way for others in the medical field.
