Baseball All Conference Players

Seven Chipola baseball players were named to the Panhandle All-Conference Team. Pictured from left, are: JeanPierre Ortiz, Zander Buchan, Lucas Elissalt, Edian Espinal, JC Vanek, Sam Parker and Jordan Taylor.

Panhandle All-Conference First Team:

Zander Buchan is a redshirt freshman catcher who batted .333 this season with an on-base percentage of .469. Buchan knocked in 19 and had two home runs this season.

Lucas Elissalt  is a sophomore pitcher who was 6-2 on the mound this season and struck out 75 with only 25 walks in 61.2 innings.

Edian Espinal is a sophomore infielder who hit .308 with an on base percentage of .498 and only struck out 24 times in 159 at bats while reaching via walk 42 times. He led the team in stolen bases with 8.

JC Vanek is a freshman infielder who led the Indians in batting average (.366), hits (53), & RBI (47). Vanek had three home runs this season and a slugging percentage of .503.

Sam Parker is a freshman outfielder who batted .364 this season with a slugging percentage of .550. Parker had four home runs this season and knocked in 34.

Panhandle All-Conference Second Team:

JeanPierre (JP) Ortiz is a sophomore pitcher was 4-2 on the season with a save.  Ortiz struck out 46 in 44.2 innings of work.

Jordan Taylor is a sophomore outfielder batted .356 this season and had 20 RBI.
