Course Description:This course is a comprehensive global perspective of world history. It is the study of all geographical areas and civilizations. It identifies and explores and links among civilization that produce a multi-centered world history while paying particular attention to unique identities and contributions. It examines briefly the various political and economic systems, religions, philosophies, and renowned leaders of the world civilizations and societies. The perspective is multicultural and multifaceted to affect a more integrated understanding of global development. This course spans the eras from the Enlightenment to the present. This course has been designated as an international/diversity course.

Means of accomplishing learning outcomes:
The course instructor will be delivering course content through class discussions on the material using visual aids or through the learning management system in online classes.
Students are expected to attend class, read assigned materials and are encouraged to ask questions.
In-class teaching strategies may include: participation, lecture, presentations, and examinations. Student attendance and participation is expected. Students are expected to read all assigned material and complete assignments in a timely manner.
Office appointments will be made to address student’s questions progress.
Tutoring will be available through the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE Lab).
The Instructor will:
- Lecture and lead class discussions.
- Assign textbook reading to supplement lectures.
- Provide study guides for reading and lectures.
- Hold weekly office hours.
