Course Description:An introductory statistics course covering various statistical applications for business, medical/nursing, education, psychology, natural science, and social science majors. The course introduces descriptive and inferential statistics through such topics as measures of central tendency and dispersion, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sample designs and sampling distributions, statistical estimation, correlation, regression, Chi-Square analysis, hypothesis testing, and computer analysis of various statistical concepts. Credit will not be granted to students who have previously received credit for STA 2122.

Prerequisites:
A "C" grade or higher must be earned to advance to a higher-level mathematics course or to satisfy part of the general education requirements in mathematics.

- Teacher Facilitated: The teacher will be leading class discussions on the material contained in the text during each class period.
- Student-centered: The students will take notes and practice solving problems during each class period.
