Course Description:
A course designed to give the student an adequate foundation in the field of psychology, to provide an understanding of human behavior and to enable the student to adapt himself to his physical and social environment. This is the prerequisite course for all advanced courses in psychology. It is recommended that this course be pursued only after completion of one semester of college study.

Prerequisites:

A grade of ā€œCā€ or higher is required to enter the ASDN program at Chipola.

Students will read all assigned materials.

Students will attend and participate in class discussions.

Students will research and prepare oral reports on various psychological topics.

Faculty will prepare and deliver lectures on various psychological topics.

Faculty will avail themselves for office appointments for students to explore their progress in the course as needed.

Faculty will advise students to use the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE Lab) for academic help when needed.
