Course Description:This is an introductory course in the care and prevention of athletic injuries. It is designed to teach the beginning student athletic trainer standard simplified methods of injury treatment. This course can also serve as a refresher course and reference guide.

Lecture is the primary method of instruction. Lectures are enhanced by board illustrations, concept maps, and/or power point presentations. Additional teaching strategies may include: use of inquiry, critical thinking, class discussions and/or oral presentations.
