Course Description:This course focuses on concepts, principles, and theories of leadership, management, role development, and administration. Skills required by the professional nurse leader including delegation of responsibilities, networking, facilitation of groups, conflict resolution, case management, collaboration, budgeting, cost effectiveness and resource allocation, managing quality and performance, and teaching are emphasized.

Means of accomplishing learning outcomes:
The instructor will assign and provide feedback to the online discussion board based on readings from the textbook. The instructor assigns and provides feedback on the three reflective journals to prepare students to complete a quality improvement project. The student will complete assigned discussions, reflective journals, and a quality improvement project.
