Course Description:This course is a component of the Law Enforcement Florida CMS Basic Recruit Academy. It is designed to enable students to identify the crowd control procedures to safely and effectively disperse or control a large group of people; understand local emergency response plans; respond to a bomb threat, assesses the scene, search and evacuate a building or suspected bomb sight, identify weapons of mass destruction and properly respond to a WMD incident.

Means of accomplishing learning outcomes:
Lecture is the primary method of instruction. Students are expected to be attentive and are encouraged to ask questions. Lectures will come primarily from the textbook in formats that may include power point presentations, white board illustrations, videos, and web-based technologies and student discussion on specific topics.
