TEAS or Test of Essential Academic Skills
- The TEAS is only offered to Chipola's Nursing applicants and examinees should set aside approximately 4 hours for the total exam session.
- The TEAS is administered in the Testing Center (Room 149) in the Student Services Building (A).
- The ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, is designed specifically to assess a student's preparedness entering the health science fields. The ATI TEAS test is timed and is comprised of 170 questions set up in a multiple-choice format with four-option answers. Questions are designed to test the basic academic skills you will need to perform in class in the areas of: Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage.

- A candidate may retake the TEAS no sooner than the 31st day after a previous attempt. Doing so will invalidate his or her score.
- Candidates must present one form of identification. The ID must be a valid government issued photo ID with a signature or a current Chipola student ID.
- The fee for the TEAS is $70 and is required on test day and must be paid directly to ATI with a credit card in order to access the exam; there is no other fee expected at this time. Schedule your appointment on the Testing Center’s online scheduling system, RegisterBlast.
- Candidates must make an appointment on RegisterBlast at least 24 hours in advance and seating is limited.
- Set up an account prior to the day you plan to take the TEAS by going to www.atitesting.com
Bring the username and password with you when you come to the Testing Center. There is no fee for creating the account.
