Chipola is one of the premier firefighting academies in the state and has been recognized by the Florida State Fire College and the Florida Fire Training Directors Association as a Training Center of the Year.

Along with our AS Degree Fire Science Program, Chipola offers specialized training for the Fire Officer, Inspector, and has developed special hands-on training for advanced Firefighters. For the new recruit, we offer a 4.5 month Day Class and 6 month Night Class. An On-Line Firefighter 1 class is also available.
