The Chipola College Social and Behavioral Sciences Department and Black Student Union sponsor the Annual Black History Month Celebration in February. Community sponsors include the Jackson County Health Department, Asphalt Paving Systems, and more. A guest speaker is invited to expand on the provided theme of the event. 

The focus of this event is to unite the community, inform them about the African-American culture, and the contributions they have made to society. The event is open to the public.

The Black History Month Celebration was held in February 2023. 

The Chipola College Black History Month Celebration held on Friday, February 17 in the Chipola College Cultural Arts Center was a success.
