Nursing assistants enjoy rewarding careers under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. They are trained to identify and meet basic patient care needs for the safety, comfort and daily activities of patients―including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming and transporting them.
Getting Started
The Nursing Assistant program is a selective admission program that admits twice a year in the Spring and Fall.
Program Cost
Please see the Approximate Program Cost for associated program expenses. CareerSource Chipola can assist with paying these costs.
Step One
Submit an Application for Admission to the college to the Admissions and Records Office by Aug. 11, 2024 for the Fall semester.
Step Two
CNA classes for Fall 2024 are scheduled to begin Aug. 19, 2024.
The deadline for the Spring CNA Application is November 19, 2024.
Chipola accepts applications through the last day of registration as listed in the college calendar; however, applications that are submitted earlier improve registration opportunities in desired classes.
Once You Complete the Program
Graduates seek employment in a hospital, rehabilitation center, long-term care facility, physician's office, or private home.
Nursing Assistant program graduates may sit for the Nursing Assistant Certification Exam (NACE), written and clinical, for a fee of $155.
