One Stop
One-Stop is an approach of bringing various agencies under
a one service umbrella. This enables the public to receive assistance
information without driving to multiple agencies and locations.
Among multiple services provided through the One-Stop, individuals
may receive assistance with employment or retraining needs.
It is in an individual's best interest to contact One-Stop if
there is a possibility of qualifying for assistance.
It is imperative that students contact the One-Stop prior to
registration. This allows One-Stop time to process your information.
One-Stop will assist with certification and associate in science
degrees that are on their region's occupational forecasting
list. (Note: One-Stop services are broad and need to be discussed
with their counselors.)
Other areas covered, but not limited to:
Welfare To Work - (Last 12 months of public assistance/or temporary assistance for needy families has expired) (May qualify for 6 months or up to 2 years of training support)
Non-Custodial Parents - (For those with difficulty in paying child support requirements.) (Individuals may qualify for up to 6 months of training, support services, and employment assistance.)
WIA - Workforce Investment Act (Job Placement & Retraining)
