Dr. Gina McAllister

Gina McAllister came to Chipola in 1997 as a business and technology teacher. She now teaches Introduction to Education, Introduction to Educational Technology, Teaching Diverse Populations, and Teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL)  

in the college’s Teacher Education Program. Other teaching experience includes adjunct instruction for FSU—Panama City and UWF. From 1992 through 1997, she taught in South Alabama high schools. 

Ms. McAllister holds a BS from Troy State University, an MEd in Vocational and Business Education from Auburn University, an Ed. Specialist from UWF, and she will receive the EdD from UWF in May of this year. Her special research interests include multicultural education, diversity in education, technology and on-line learning, and non-traditional students. Her dissertation (2006) was titled Accidental Teachers: Entering the Profession.
