Welcome from the Dean of the School of
Health Sciences!
Chipola offers five different programs of study as career pathways into the healthcare field. Chipola is prepared to help students meet their educational goals and pursue their passion in healthcare through these programs. In the times of economic challenge, healthcare has proven to be a sustainable profession.
The School of Health Science embraces the opportunity to provide quality nursing and allied health education through a variety of innovative teaching modalities and partnerships with our community. All the programs are committed to serving a vital role in healthcare in the college district.
The RN-BSN program provides a direct pathway to higher education. The challenges of the healthcare system, complex medical conditions, and the need for critical thinking skills validate the need for an advanced degree in nursing. For the convenience of the students who are also employed, many of the baccalaureate degree classes are offered in the evenings or online.
As the Dean of the School of Health Sciences, I encourage everyone to visit all the pages on this web site and to explore the various career options. Please feel free to contact me at stephensv@chipola .edu or my Staff Assistant, Jennifer Ham, at hamj@chipola .edu or 850-718-2316.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vickie Stephens
