FIRST
RESPONDER, FIREFIGHTER I AND FIREFIGHTER II
These three classes are designed so
that a
student may take them as one continuous class.
They enter First Responder and go straight through to
the end of Firefighter II without a break between classes.
This year we are going to open up these classes so
that a student may enter any of these classes as a stand
alone class. That means that a student can take only the one
or two classes that they need. If a student wants to take just a First Responder
class because it is a requirement before taking an EMT course they
can. If a
student is a Certified Firefighter l and they just want to
take a Firefighter II class they can.
NOTE: The
student MAY
be required to pass a skills test before they
can enter our Firefighter II program.

We will offer TWO CLASSES
with this format.
The next continuous DAY CLASS will
start
AUGUST 12, 2013 and end DECEMBER 3, 2013. This DAY
CLASS
will meet Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 4:30 pm
(CST). The next continuous NIGHT CLASS will
start JUNE 11,
2013 and end DECEMBER 5, 2013. This NIGHT CLASS will meet Monday through Thursday from 5 pm to 10 pm
(CST).
THERE ARE STILL OPENINGS ALL THESE CLASSES.
A STUDENT MAY TAKE ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING CLASSES AS A SINGLE STAND ALONE CLASS.
Unless noted, the DAY and
NIGHT CLASSES meet Monday through Thursday.
2013 FIRST RESPONDER:

2013 FIREFIGHTER I:
DAY CLASS: August 21, 2013 to October 19 Class meets from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
NIGHT CLASS: June 25, 2013 to September 12 Class meets from 5 pm to 10 pm
FIREFIGHTER 1 CLASS ONLINE
ONLINE CLASS: We will offer a Firefighter 1 Online Class that will start in September, 2013 and end March, 2014. All bookwork is completed ON-LINE. All Skills will be taught and checked off at Chipola College on scheduled nights through out the class. This class will meet from 5:30 to 10pm on Tuesday nights approx 2 times a month. We will try to keep the cost of this class at $400.00. This price includes: Tuition, On-Line charges, Use of SCBA, Burns and Processing Fees. It does no include, First Responder, S-130, S-190, or the cost of the book. These courses will be offered after Firefighter 1 is completed. A FIREFIGHTER 1 SKILLS class will be offered starting in September, 2013. This class will be offered as a short course and will meet the same nights as the Firefighter 1 class. The Cost is $100.00.
