The Chipola College children’s show, “Finale,” will be the last show in the old
theater. The college will move into the new Center for the Arts in September. A public performance of “Finale” is set for Thursday, May 10, at 7 p.m. Tickets—$5 for students and $7 for adults—are on sale in the college Business Office. The show will also be presented to hundreds of elementary school children during the week. Chipola Theater director Charles Sirmon cast the following actors in the show: Atrayu Adkins, Dylan Bass, Dante Brown, Joni Barfield, Darren Blake Collins, Brett Floyd, Meghan Gilliland, Cade Guthrie, Dianna Glaze, Sierra Hill, Jae House, Elizabeth Mathis, Trey McKay, Taylor Myrick, Leah Page, Austin Pettis, Jamal Robinson, Ashleigh Stowe, Kayla Todd, Christin Wiggins and Gracie Wallace. The show was written by Chipola guest choreographer Chris Manasco and will be the last one in the old theatre. Manasco says, “It’s time to move to the new theatre and there is going to be a lot of change. But someone forgot to tell the zany characters from past children’s shows. Don’t be surprised to see Snoopy, the Three Little Pigs, or even Alice in Wonderland make an appearance. Come along as this roller coaster of an adventure weaves storylines and characters together in exciting and unexpected ways, reintroducing the audience to some of Chipola Theatre’s most memorable characters.”
