Kristin Moore enters her first season as an assistant coach on the Chipola College Women’s Basketball staff. Moore comes to Chipola after a one-year stint as the top assistant at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Mo. While at Jefferson, Moore helped lead the Lady Vikings to a 32-2 record, No. 1 ranking and a second-place finish in the NJCAA National Tournament.
Prior to her stint at Jefferson College, Moore spent two seasons as head coach at John Hope College Prep, in Chicago from 2007-2009. She also served one season at the school as the assistant prior to taking over as head coach. As head coach, Moore compiled a record of 44-15, a #14 ranking in the nation in 2008, a Chicago Public Schools City Championship (2008), State Regional and Sectional Championships, CPS Regional Coach of the Year, and IBCA District Coach of the Year. As an assistant coach in 2006, Moore helped coach JHCP to a 23-6 record and a State Regional Championship. In addition to her duties as a coach at JHCP, Moore taught Geometry and Algebra for three years.
As a player at the University of Arkansas, Moore helped the Lady Razorbacks to an overall record of 68-52, and two post season appearances under Gary Blair (2003) and Susie Gardner (2005). She was also a three year starter and received most improved player in 2004.
