Deidra Johnson

Deidra Johnson enters her first season with the Lady Indians. She comes to Chipola by way of Coffeyville community College, where she was an assistant coach for one season under Head Coach Emiley Washburn. She helped guide the Lady Ravens to their 3rd consecutive Jayhawk East conference championship.
Johnson played at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith under long-time Head Coach Louis Whorton, where she was a first team all conference and region selection, averaging 10 pts, 6.5 assists, 3 steals, and 2.1 blocks per contest. She was rated as the 6th best Junior College point guard prospect in the country by the All-Star Girls report. She went on to play two seasons at Oklahoma State University.
A native of Magnolia, Arkansas, Johnson earned an Associates of Arts from UAFS and received a B.A. in sociology from Oklahoma State in 2004.
