The Lady Indians Softball Team has worked diligently over the last couple of months to raise money to supplement their fall schedule. The community, faculty & staff, and parents have worked along side the Lady Indians in their fund raising efforts.
The Lady Indians are expressing their gratitude through their community service efforts. Not only are the Lady Indians volunteering within our community (Partners for Pets, Jackson Hospital, and Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center) they are taking their good efforts on the road.
The Lady Indians Softball Team traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee on October 15, 2009 to play at the University of Tennessee. While in Knoxville the Lady Indians volunteered at the Habitat for Humanities’ ReStore. At the ReStore the Lady Indians reorganized, cleaned, and assisted with the assembling of cabinets. Their diligence and hard work was appreciated by the volunteers and workers at Habitat for Humanities.
The Lady Indians had a wonderful time and are eagerly awaiting their next Habitat project.
