Berrios
started at the point guard position for the
Chipola College Indians this past year.
Berrios,
from Bronx, NY, will be heading to UAB next
season.
Berrios,
(SO) 5-foot-11 (175), attended Stoneridge Prep
(CA) and Genesis One in Mendenhall, MS before
landing at Chipola. Chipola finished the season
33-3 and second
in the nation.
Ed averaged 8.9 ppg and dished out 3.8 assists
this past season.
Berrios
shot 47% (36-76) from three-point range.
"UAB is really a great fit for Ed. He is a floor
general on the floor and he will keep his
teammates at UAB happy next season. UAB did a
relentless job of recruiting Ed and coach Donnie
Marsh was super in the recruiting process," said
head coach Greg Heiar.
