2002 at the University of Kansas:    Played one season at the University of Kansas for head coach Bobby Randall where he served as the starting catcher.  He hit .260 with five doubles, two homeruns, and twenty RBI's.  Cole was voted Rookie of the year and Freshman of the year during the 2002 campaign at Kansas.

Prep:    A graduate of Delphi Academy where he lettered for four seasons under coach John Haar.  Hit .358 with five HR's, 50 RBI's and 10 doubles as a senior.  Played 3 years with the Canadian National Team  and was drafted in the 32nd round by the New York Mets during the 2001 MLB draft.

Personal:    Son of Nicola and Mel Armstrong....Hobbies include fishing....Career plans are to go into communications.
