The Chipola College Student Ambassadors represent Chipola at high school activities and various civic organization meetings, as well as assist in hosting events for high school students at the college. Among these events are Chipola’s Annual Senior Day and its Senior Leadership Conference.
The Student Ambassadors are also responsible for the recruitment of new Chipola College students from across Chipola’s five county district. This is done through high school visits and the events hosted on the immediate campus.
Student Ambassadors consist of area high school graduates who are exceptional leaders both on and off the campus. Applicants are selected based on their leadership ability, creativity, and a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. These students must then excel in the rigorous interview process held during the summer . Members of Ambassadors must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in their college courses in order to satisfy their eligibility.
Although the requirements and labor may seem quite overwhelming, being a Student Ambassador does not mean all work and no play. We have a great time doing what we do, and we always look forward to our next scheduled activity.
