Admission, Financial Aid, and Registration Information

1. Admission:

Submit the following to the Admissions and Registration Office in A 137:

  1. Completed Chipola College application. If you were not enrolled at Chipola last semester you will need to submit a new admission application.
  2. Completed Chipola College BAS in Business Management Supplemental Application for the Bachelor’s program.
  3. Official high school transcripts.
  4. Official transcripts from all colleges attended.

 

  • New students must complete the Chipola College general application for admission and the Baccalaureate Supplemental Application for the BAS  in Business Management. If you were not enrolled within the last year at Chipola College, you will need to submit the general application for admission.
  • Former Chipola students, who have not attended Chipola College in the past year, must submit an updated Chipola College general application for admission and the Baccalaureate Application Supplement.
  • Request official transcripts from high school(s) or GED to be sent directly to Chipola College.
  • Request official transcripts from the institutions you list below (not including Chipola College) and CLAST scores not included in official transcripts to be sent directly to Chipola College.
  • Applicants for the B.A.S. in Business Management Program should have an Associate in Science or an Associate in Arts Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Students with at least 60 semester hours of post-secondary education, but who do not hold either an A.A. or A.S. degree, may be admitted by the Dean on a case-by-case basis.
  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in all postsecondary coursework.
  • Applicants must have obtained 15 credit hours of transferable general education credits.
  • All upper level course work requires a grade of “C” or higher.

2. Financial Aid:
Each student MUST complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to apply for federal financial aid if they wish to receive any kind of financial aid for this program.   The form can be filled out online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov or can be picked up from the Chipola Financial Aid Office in A 157. Call (850) 718-2224 or visit http://www.chipola.edu/financialaid/what.htm for more information.


3. Registration:
Contact the Business Management Program at (850) 718-2441 for an advising appointment and to enroll in classes.

Registration dates for Fall 2009 Semester:  June 15 - 18 for students enrolled in Summer I 2009 classes. July 13 and 14 for students enrolled in Spring or Summer 2009 classes. August 19 for returning students. August 20 and 21 for new and returning students. Classes start on August 24.

Take the pink Student Registration and Drop/Add Form to the Business Office in A165 to pay tuition or have it charged to your financial aid.

4. ID Cards and Books:

  1. All students must obtain a photo I.D. from Student Services. New students must take the white registration receipt received from the Business Office to Student Services and have a photo ID made.

  2. After securing a valid ID card, visit the bookstore for your textbooks. Bookstore personnel will assist you in purchasing the correct books.  Keep your registration receipt and your book store cash register receipt. If you have to exchange a book later, you will need both.

DO NOT UN-WRAP YOUR BOOKS until you are sure you do not want to exchange them.  Un-wrapped books are considered Used books.

 

5. Parking Decals:
Parking decals must be obtained from the Business Office located in Building A, Room 165 if you drive a car on campus. You will need your car registration and student ID. Decals are included in the students' processing fees.
