Basic Recruit Training Program

Law Enforcement Basic Recruit Training Program


The Law Enforcement Basic Recruit Training Program prepares students for entry level into law enforcement careers.
This is a 770 hour intense program with high academic standards and demanding physical skill training. Proficiency testing and field exercise are an integral part of this program. To be eligible for certification as a police officer in Florida, students must successfully complete all of the courses listed below, and pass the state examination.  The next evening class is scheduled to begin September 12, 2014.
The Law Enforcement Academy is Pell Grant eligible.

Correctional Officer Cross-Over Training to Florida Law Enforcement Officer

The Correctional Officer Cross-Over Training to Florida Law Enforcement Officer prepares students for entry level into law enforcement careers. To be eligible for entry into this program the student must have already completed the Florida Corrections Officer Basic Recruit Training Program, and passed the associated state exam. This is a 515 hour, intense program with high academic standards and demanding physical skill training. To be eligible for certification as a police officer in Florida, students must successfully complete all of the courses listed below, and pass a state examination.  The next evening class is scheduled to begin September 12, 2014
