And for helpful information regarding computer-related security issues, such as selecting a more secure password, locking your computer, etc., please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions page or go to the Public folder located on the S drive.  We have placed the following items at that location:

Locking_Your_Computer  (A PowerPoint show that guides employees through the steps to lock and unlock a computer while logged into the network.)

Brochure-Chipola Students  (A brochure that provides useful information to students on how to log on to Chipola’s student domain.  This brochure may be printed and circulated to our student population.)

Brochure-Student Print-Limit  (A brochure that provides information related to the Print-Limit software that monitors printing via the student domain.  This brochure explains the page credit each student is given, how this credit is deducted as pages are printed, and how students may purchase additional page credit.)

Brochure-Chipola Employees  (A brochure that provides useful information to employees on how to log on to the Chipola network.)

Brochure-Multimedia Machines (A brochure that provides instructions for the use of the multimedia components that reside in many classrooms on campus.)

Under the Security_Awareness folder that resides in the Public folder, we are placing various security-related PowerPoint modules.  These modules are designed to heighten our awareness of security concerns related to passwords, identity theft, data access, network access, mainframe access, e-mail and internet usage, portable computing, and physical access to buildings and offices.  Information Systems will be adding modules to this location as we address these issues in future meetings and workshops.

Please pass this information along to any instructors -- especially adjunct instructors -- or staff members who may be working evening hours and who may be in need of computer/technical support.
