College Reach-Out Program (CROP)

Motivating students to pursue a postsecondary education.

How do I apply?

The College Reach-Out Program targets first generation college students who have the desire to attend a post-secondary institution upon graduation from high school. Students must qualify economically and academically. Students must meet a minimum of one criterion, under both guidelines. All guidelines refer to the year immediately prior to the student’s initial year of participation in CROP

 

Academic guidelines

  • First time in college student
  • Low FCAT scores
  • Low Florida Writes scores
  • Low grade point average (GPA)

Economic guidelines

  • Received reduced or free lunch
  • Low-income
  • Participates in WAGES
  • Received public assistance

Local CROP project staff and middle and high school personnel identify students for participation in the program based upon specified criteria. Students and parents may also contact the CROP project office or complete a CROP Application2010-2011.pdf

The College Reach-Out Program (CROP) is a free program.
